"Anheuser-Busch is proud to support Southside Day Nursery, part of the brewery community since 1886. The contribution that SSDN makes to the community by giving children a head start in realizing their true potential is immeasurable. For example, one of our own employees, Penny Hillemeyer, was a student at SSDN in the 1950s and remains an active volunteer today. Recently, Anheuser-Busch joined with SSDN to help provide safe and child-friendly play spaces. Seeing happy and healthy children interacting with each other and playing games on these redeveloped playgrounds reminds us that this generation will be our future business and community leaders, and underscores the value of having SSDN in our community."

- Cathy Engle, former Sr. Human Resources Manager at Anheuser-Busch.

Donate Now SSDN is committed to the healthy development of children, families and community. With the help of our friends and community partners, we help children to learn in a nurturing and safe environment; assist families to prepare for healthy childbirth; help parents to be the best caregivers of their own children.

Your gifts to SSDN help us to:

  • Provide high quality free or very low-cost child care for families facing challenges.
  • Build a strong educational foundation for children so that they enter elementary school as curious learners, ready to succeed.
  • Provide health and developmental screenings for young children and the therapeutic services they need.
